President Muhammadu Buhari on Monday congratulated the Golden Eaglets of Nigeria on their victory over Mali in the final match of this year’s Under-17 FIFA World Cup tournament in Chile.
In a statement by his Special Adviser on Media & Publicity, Femi Adesina, the President applauded what he called “the exemplary zeal, determination, commitment, hard work, patriotism and soccer artistry”
It will be recalled that Golden Eaglets in the early hour of today defeated their Malian counterpart by two second half goals to nil, Victor Osimhen and Funsho Bamgboye scored in the 56th and 59th minutes to hand Nigeria her fifth title at that level.
