Lagos landlady sets tenant’s apartment on fire in order to forcefully eject him from house

The Lagos State Police Command has declared Mrs. Nike Azeez wanted for allegedly setting her tenant’s apartment ablaze in order to eject him from the house in Ijegun area of Lagos.

The police have also discovered ashes of burnt N250,000 kept in the house by the victim, Adeleke Shakiru.

This was disclosed by DSP. Dolapo Badmos, the command’s spokesperson.

According Badmos, the police have arrested the suspect’s husband, Jamiu Azeez, and detained him at Isheri Oshun Division for his alleged involvement in the alleged arson by his wife.

“We are on the trail of Mrs. Nike Azeez, the main suspect, who perpetrated the act. We already have her husband in custody and he is helping investigators with useful information on the whereabouts of his wife.
