Fire razes 33 shops in POWA market

Fire on Sunday gutted the Police Officers Wives Association (POWA) market in Ikeja, destroying 33 shops filled with foodstuff.

At the market yesterday, traders waded through the debris of their shops as they counted their losses.

An eyewitness said the fire was noticed at some minutes past 6 in the evening, as thick smoke billowed from the lock-up shops
