EKSU Vice-Chancellor Fires All University Workers In A Department Over Fraud, Incompetence

The Vice Chancellor of the Ekiti State University (EKSU), Prof. Samuel Bandele, has sacked all workers of the Directorate of Part Time Programme (DPTP) at the institution over alleged unprofessional handling of academic and non-academic matters and fraud at the institution.

The Ad hoc Staff who have been variously alleged to portray the image of the university and the part time programme negatively through their unprofessional handling of academic and non- academic matters were fired during a visit by the VC – to the Directorate of PTP at the Ifaki campus of the University.

According to a statement signed by the institution’s spokesman, Ajibade Olubunmi the sack order came shortly after the Director of DPTP, Professor Wale Adesina reeled his achievements and challenges among which was the issue of Ad hoc Staff. 

Professor Bandele, who observed that the Ad hoc Staffs have indeed given the Part Time Programme a bad name, added that it was time to chase them and others who are bent on denting the good image of the university away.
