Transfer news and rumours: Shakhtar star Alex Teixeira 'admits Blues have been in contact'

Shakhtar forward Alex Teixeira has admitted a move to Stamford Bridge is in the works– according to Italian media, at least.
The 25-year-old Brazilian joined the Ukrainian heavyweights from Vasco da Gama in 2010.

After netting a very respectable 17 times in 22 matches for Shakhtar last season, this year he has banged in 22 goals in just 15 league matches, and has made five assists to boot.
