Ekiti demolishes Erekesan market

Ekiti state governor Ayo Fayose  on Saturday morning kept to his vow to demolish the popular Erekesan market in Ado-Ekiti, the state capital to pave way for an ultra modern market.

Bulldozers, which pulled down structures at the market, arrived the area around 5am  began work immediately.

Owners of shops had earlier been paid compensation by the government along with provision of alternatives.
