Sunderland have appointed Sam Allardyce as new manager on two-year deal.
Big Sam as he is fondly called is to replace Dick Advocaat who resigned from the post citing family reason
It will be recalled that the Dutchman almost left the post after the conclusion of last season when his wife was diagnosis with cancer but changed his mind when the Sunderland fans pleaded with him to stay on.
Sam Allardice need to turn the fortune of the cats around as they currently sit at the bottom of the Premier League Table with three point and no win so far this season
