I am seeing the entire season 1 of the series Empire for the 2nd time. I celebr8 the creators, Lee Daniels and Danny Strong.
Empire is an American drama television series which debuted on Fox on January 7, 2015. It centers on a hip hop music and entertainment company, Empire Entertainment, and the drama among the members of the founders' family as they fight for control of the company.
Relationships are so important in our lives, they are like the life line of any entity, be it business, family, marriage, religious organizations, and even gangs.
The type of relationship that people share, the value placed on these relationships are vital to the success of any group pursuing any goal.
Every one wants to succeed, Louis Lyon wanted success and he pursued it with everything he had to create Empire, a multi million dollar business. One of his mistakes was not keeping the Queens seat while she was away all because of the business. That says a lot about the value he placed on a woman who dropped $400k and went to jail just so Louis can create empire.
I pray that all men who dream to create their own empire will have a muse, an helper, a woman who sees the big picture even when the blurr stretches as far as the horizon, Cookie.
We all need a cookie in our lives...as men and a Man cookie for the ladies. Some one that can give up 17 years of her lives,do drugs and give an entire $400k to the man in her life to start a company, a company she concieved too.
A confedient lady is one who knows where she is going in life, some one is ready to ride or die with her man to create a future, that is Cookie Lyon. By the time she went to jail, she's had 3 boys. Andre, Jamal and Hakeem.
Cookies character was the most touching character for me, maybe because of my entrepreneur paradigm, a man with a cookie in his life is a man made, if he knows what he is doing.
The first thing Cookie said to Jamal immediately she got out of prison was "I have come to take what's mine"
A man that will not keep the place of Cookie in his life, business and every other thing he's doing is A FOOL.
A woman like Cookie is like a rare cookie...great for the kids, equally good for the man and awesome for business.
Relationships can be painful, stressful and frustrating when values like loyalty, faith, believe, focus and love, genuine love is missing. The value you place on relationships determines what you can do for those individuals you are in a relationship with.
Ladies, be a Cookie, Men, not boys now, Be a Lyon but never let go of your Cookie.
